Who we are

Auto617 was set-up by two former Professors from the Mechanical Engineering School at Newcastle University in the UK, one with expertise in Bayesian methods applied to sensor fusion in MEMS, the other in surface mass-spectrometry and chemistry. We were working on GPS-denied navigation - and applying for patents - long before the problem was recognised more widely.

Auto617 has a small but talented staff based in the North East of England close to the old Armstrong factory that helped the UK win two world wars.
